History

The company was set up in 2002 by Michael Monagle and Declan Murphy in order to provide a complete management system for barn accommodation, pig nutrition and pig feed design for a large number of sows and their progeny, and to maximise the performance from these herds.

Our Unique Approach

The success of the company is due to our recognition that the performance of herds in commercial settings differs from that in research facilities. We make the necessary adjustments to the animal requirements calculations, at farm level, in order to achieve optimal performance.

nutrition is one of the main tools used to maximise performance in their herds and Makeway employ specialists in the fields of nutrition and agronomy.

Our Partners

Makeway’s independence has allowed us to develop Our Partners throughout Europe for the best available pig feed products and systems designed to overcome industry problems and to maximise performance. Makeway, through its partners, has access to a huge database of information on the pig industry in other countries.

The company has grown considerably in the last few year's and is now the market leader for loose pig housing accommodation and pig feeding design in Ireland.
